Notes: There was no illustration on this page, but going from the Hamidashi Corner in next month's issue, there appeared to have been a separate illustration by Akiman somewhere. See the next issue for more.
Episode 15 — November 2005 Issue
Takumi Snippet
Takumi Shuu (??)
Ace Attorney's director and scriptwriter. It's rumoured his fuel is alcohol.
Status: ...Because of the popularity of Ace Attorney, the official blog will be updated every Tuesday and Friday... Recently, it strangely feels like I have a lot of deadlines...
Letters Corner
• This is the first issue I've bought. The articles are super good. I also pre-ordered the game. It'll be fun from now on (Masashi Tomo, Aichi Prefecture)
• I played the PC demo and it was good. Because I couldn't play it again, I thought I'd take this chance to give it a go. (Granny, Nagano Prefecture)
• Recently, I tried to reserve a limited edition of the GBA Ace Attorney, but I was refused. So I'll bet on (the previous issue's) reader gift!! (Nekonin, Wakayama Prefecture)
Ask About Anything at the Fey & Co. Law Offices!
Mia and Prosecutor Godot show you everyone's postcards!
In this corner, we'll properly respond to everyone's postcards.
I'll leave the postcards to the kids... That's okay with you, isn't it, kitten?
Um, if you didn't want to do it, why did you come to this corner?
"Corner" and "coffee" sound similar to some people, don't you think?
Yeah, to you!
I wonder who's left their mug here?
Ahhh! This is the place I left it. Godot cup no.53!
How many cups do you have..?
Heh... I keep forgetting them... in the courtroom.
Well with that, please join us again this month!
by Graham J, Miyazaki Prefecture
Godot: It seems like they're saying, "Quit standing on my foot, Edgeworth!" "I can't hear you, Wright!"
Mia: I'm not going to do an impression of them!
by Chikamaru, Saitama Prefecture
Godot: Doesn't it seem like we're saying, "There's no loo roll in the toilets!" "Couldn't you use this?"
Mia: Somehow, I don't think that's what the artist intended...
by Satsuma Tin, Tokyo Metropolis
Q: What type of structure does Nick's long hair have?
Shocking picture!
Prediction: full of cone-shapes, packed side by side.
"No, no, no, no"
"OBJECTION!"
Mia: I wonder how his hair is when he wakes up? What do you think?
Godot: His pillow would probably be pierced all over.
Mia: It would seem so.
by Mushi, Saitama Prefecture
Mia: Oh my, such a high skill level!
Godot: I could roll it much more skilfully than he does.
Mia: I was talking about the picture!
Travelling — At The Wright & Co. Law Offices
Ema Skye, who has not been to the Wright & Co. Law Offices for a long time, meets with Maya and Pearl for the first time, and they immediately hit it off. With all the commotion, is it any wonder Phoenix is getting a little flummoxed?!Ah. Ahem. Hello.
Oh! Come in, come in! You're Ema, right?
Ema: Whoa! Ms Maya Fey! In the flesh!
Maya: Oh, there's no need to be formal! Make yourself at home.
Welcome. My name is Pearl Fey.
Ema: Awww! So cute! I'm always seeing you work so hard in the game.
Pearl: Oh no, I still have such a long way to go. Ah. Now, we will call Mr Nick.
Ema: "N-Nick?"
Maya: Huh? Ema, what did you call him, then?
Ema: Well, he was always "Mr Wright" to me.
Maya: Oh he doesn't deserve that level of respect. Just "Nick" is enough.
Ema: Right! Got it! From henceforth, he shall be "Nick"!
No no no... stop saying things without authorisation.
Maya: Ah, Nick. Look, Ema's come to see us!
Ema: Long time no see, Nick!
Phoenix: ... You've adapted so well. You seem totally refreshed...
Ema: I'm really obliged to you for all the help you gave in my sister's case!
Phoenix: Likewise. So what's happening today?
Ema: To celebrate the release of "Rise from the Ashes", Maya had the idea of holding a launch party.
Phoenix: Oh that's a great idea. We can go out right now and buy a cake...
Maya: What are you on about? Since it's such a big occasion, we should go on a trip! Yay! Let's go on a trip!
Pearl: Yay! I can't wait! A trip!
Phoenix: Huh... what, now? That's really short notice, don't you think?
Maya: Oooh, I want to go to Europe! Yay! Europe!
Phoenix: But that's abroad!
Maya: Well, duh. If we're talking about holidays, then it's got to be Europe!
Pearl: You have great ideas, Mystic Maya, like always!
Ah. I thought this would happen, so I brought along this world map!
You have great ideas, Ema, like always!
Phoenix:... Are you guys serious?
Maya: So? So? Where is Europe on this map?
Ema: Let's see. It's just at this point here.
Maya: Oh, I see. Is there somewhere nearer that we can go to?
Pearl: Let's see. If you go straight up from Japan, you get a shortcut to China.
Maya: Oh! Speaking of China, I hear they have delicious ramen somewhere over there!
Pearl: Oh Mystic Maya, as usual you're so well-informed!
Maya: Well, shall we eat our lunch there?
...That is one surreal plan.
Maya: By the way, Ema, is there a place that you'd particularly like to go to?
Ema: Well, actually, I'd like to visit Las Vegas.
Phoenix: Really? But isn't it all casinos?
Maya: That's fine. I think I'd be pretty good at gambling, me.
Ema: Oh that's not it. It's because I heard there's a famous scientific investigation team there.
Maya: Surely every day there would be something like a TV drama, huh?
Ema: Well, I pretty much just want to say hello to them.
Maya: On the way back, we can have a wild time at the casinos. Pearly, how much money do you have?
Pearl: 600 yen!
Maya: I have 50 yen. Under these circumstances, we'll just have to go all out and spend like there's no tomorrrow.
Ema: By the way, Pearl, is there somewhere you'd like to go?
Pearl: Me..? Let's see. Maybe somewhere like Shikoku?
Phoenix: The scale has suddenly changed.
Pearl: Well, I just sort of saw it by chance and picked it. Look. Here.
Ema: Oh... This is... Australia, right?
Pearl: "Australia?" That's not Shikoku, then..?
Umm... If you look at it closely, it does actually sort of look like it, the shape.
Pearl: I-I also thought it was a bit strange that Shikoku should be in this place...
Ema: Ahh, well. While we're at it, Nick, do you have anywhere you've dreamt of going?
Phoenix: Since it's at such short notice, I'd like to be here, in the office, having our launch party...
Maya: All right, well. First we'll stick this map on to the wall, then we'll use darts to decide where we'll go.
Phoenix: ...That's kind of cool, actually.
Maya: Ema, you do the honours.
Ema: Th-This is such an important responsibility. Okay. *Hup!*
Whoa!
Ema: Ah! I missed the map and ended up hitting the wall!
That's right. The destination has been decided.
Maya: Eh?
Phoenix: We'll go and buy our cake. And this evening, we're going to have a great time. In the Wright & Co. Law Offices.
Maya: No way! That's so lame!
