ATLANTIS FOUND (By Me) In The Sahara by The Puzzler | [Archive link just in case]

Because everyone is acting like Bright Insight is the originator (even though he himself said he learnt about it from a documentary), but this poster came up with the theory independently in 2008, and appears to have had everyone tell her she's wrong. I don't know enough about geology or geography to know if the theory is plausible, but it's still fun to speculate, and give The Puzzler the credit she deserves.

PS I believe it's pronounced Ree-shaat not Rickart.

Mystery of the Disappearing Headband

Something super weird happened today. I had a headband on, and I definitely had it on when I was in the bathroom washing my face, as I remember pulling it down round my neck so it wouldn't get wet. When I went up to my room, I put a shirt on over my top. But then the headband was gone, so I and the kids looked for it all over the room, back down the stairs and in the bathroom, but couldn't find it. I thought it might have got stuck in my shirt when I put it on. So I shook it out, felt around the sleeves and back, it wasn't there. It was like it had vanished into thin air.

So we just gave up and went downstairs. I started making my dinner. Then while the vegetables were boiling, I went back to the living room to the kids, and started saying "I wonder where that headband could have got to?" and just as I was saying it, I had this urge to touch my lower back, and the headband was suddenly in my hand! It was so strange!

I mean, yeah most likely it was stuck under my shirt all along, but I definitely shook it vigorously earlier and there was no sign of it. But the creepiest thing was how I had the urge to touch my back just as I was asking where it could be and it was suddenly just there in my hand! Bizarro! So creeped out!

Delta Goodrem Hailing her Elite Masters?

A very strange old video from Delta Goodrem, before she hit the big time. Screenshots to follow:

There's some weird triangle-obsession going on here.

delta-triangle1
Here we go. She starts off with looking through a triangle...

delta-triangle2
... okay, so she's supposed to be framing a scene; I get it. But I don't remember triangular TV screens being fashionable or even in existence back then or, well, EVER. If you're gonna frame a scene, you're going to form a rectangle, right? How is a triangle going to be of any use?

delta-triangle3
Oh dear. Oh dear, this is bad. Now it's an eye in a triangle...

Forum shill gets busted!

shillsarealive

This is kinda old, but I thought I'd share it here for those who don't know. That site is only good for laughing at the silly stories now. The GLP referred to in the article is godlikeproductions.com. The original post is here:

It all seems a little bait and it wouldn't surprise me if this was just someone trolling, but who realy knows.

A Forum Shill gets busted. Something very interesting happened over at GLP March 24th [2013] at 9:28 pm. Something that did not go unnoticed by GLP posters and many others around the interwebz. On page 7 of a thread titled "Medical Type Says Sandy Hook is Total BS", a user from "Kazakhstan" posted the following:

The Kelly–Hopkinsville encounter is the name given to a series of incidents of close encounters with supposed extraterrestrial beings. These were reported in the autumn of 1955, the most famous and well-publicized of which centred around a rural farmhouse at the time belonging to the Sutton family, which was located between the hamlet of Kelly and the small city of Hopkinsville, both in Christian County, Kentucky, United States. It is from these main incidents that the entire case takes its name.

Mysterious Wreckage in Space

This was taken directly from a book called Mystery, Intrigue and Suspense (Chancellor Press, 1992). I think it's a compilation of previously published titles. I know the unsolved crime chapter has already been published in The World's Greatest Unsolved Crimes. The rest may have been published elsewhere.

Anyway, this is one I haven't been able to find much info about anywhere else. Maybe the whole thing was one big hoax — a lot of the cases in this book have proven to be. It's interesting nevertheless. I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the matter.

The following text is copyright Chancellor Press and I don't really have permission to quote it, but what the heck. Fair Dealings/Fair Use is a thing.
