Painting Things

Quick update:

The old flower hook just ended up as a sunflower. Boring, right? I didn’t even do any shading. Oh well. I stuck it above my bed and I use it to hold up my earphones. No more untangling!

I’ve started using loose leaf tea to cut down on plastic waste, and the last tea strainer I bought I ended up being used for Epsom salts, and the one before that got stolen by my family, so I had to customise this new one to stop a repeat. Originally, I wrote on it in metallic markers, but it just wiped off, so I gesso’d it and then painted over it in black and then tried the markers again, but as soon as I applied the varnish, it wiped off. So I thought, screw it, let me do something different.

I was planning on painting some palm tree silhouettes to match my t-shirt, but I decided that I’d likely end up ruining it. I used my Pinkest Pink for the pink and orange bits, with a dash of magenta, which is the Endangered Species of the acrylic paint world.
