Etrian Odyssey

GAH! This is such a frustrating game! I don't know how I would ever have been able to clock this without having to refer to the strategy guides. Another thing that's annoying me is that even though I have defeated the final boss Primeval (who is also utterly annoying), and completed all the quests and monster codex, the password still won't unlock. The password shows up under the Y menu (ie, load your game, press Y and then Select, and it'll show up). Um, except the password given to me is about one line longer than the space given in Etrian Odyssey II. So yeah, that was for nothing.

Anyway, after first resting and then retiring each character, because you cannot beat the game without a certain skill set (you go actually get a cool 9 skill points if you retire at level 70, rather than 3. I don't know about stat bonuses), here was my final team:

Last Window Animations BTS

Wow! I feel so much better about knowing I have to rely on the odd bit of cheating for my artwork, too. Unfortunately, I'm the only model I have, but so it goes. I so want one of those art console thingies they're using.

I'm getting utterly quite confused about alignments these days. It's strange, because I always thought of myself as being a goody-goody Lawful Good. Certainly at work I'm trusted to do things and know things which I would not normally be authorised to do and know.

So I was doing this quiz the other day What D&D Character Am I? and surprisingly, I'm a Chaotic Neutral Elven Ranger/Mage (what rules are they playing by? Elves can't multi-class as ranger/mages). So I knew already that I'm an elf, but Chaotic Neutral? Really?

Fire Emblem 20th Anniversary Artbook

I couldn't resist. Nintendo said there are no plans for an English release, so I had to get it imported. It cost some £40 on eBay, but I think it was worth it (mind you, my bank statement hasn't come through yet).

Suffering from NERD-RAGE!

Can I just say first of all, D&D 4e is absolute PANTS! I'm still waiting for my AD&D 2e Player's Handbook to arrive, but luckily as I have Baldur's Gate I have a good deal of info on it anyway.

Ferys

He is actually the brother of my AD&D player character. Heh. He's the leader of his mercenary band and a difficult character to be around; he tends to look down on his rookies and have a laugh at their expense (hence the low charisma), but actually he's a big softie deep down and really loves them all.

His pencil-and-paper stats are actually different from what I got in BG, which was just lucky. And his race is Winged (Dark Type), not human.

I've started designing the basics of a campaign setting, but this was done using a mishmash of the D&D Basic Set rules and what was described of the AD&D 2e rules from the Baldur's Gate manual, plus a couple of races and a class that I made up myself. If I come up with anything good, I'll chuck it up for anyone who's interested.

Paint Packages, Adopted Brothers and MOAR Anime!

I've decided — I am not going to bother finishing Twilight Princess. As I said before, action games are not really to my taste, and anyway — I can haz new game!!! The game I am playing right now is called Faia Emburemu - Radiant Dawn. It's full of yummies!!

But seriously, it combines two of my favourite game genres ie RPG and strategy (my other fave is platformers - Commander Keen and Kid Icarus, yeah!). I'm playing on easy level since I've not played any previous titles, and I'm not doing too badly. I'm playing Ike's mercenaries at the moment (Oscar!! love Geoffrey! love And all the others! love). I've already killed Ike's sister twice.

What I am saying is, it's an awesome game.

The only thing that's spoiling it is something I read on a character profiles site, ie that Micaiah is going to marry Sothe who PS is her adopted brother. That's just... wrong.

SSBB: Custom Maps

Okie, I have a few custom maps if anyone's interested. They're not particularly elaborate, I was aiming for layouts that give a good fighting experience.

Update April 2016: The Nintendo Ninjas filed a copyright claim against my uploads and they got deleted by Box. For real, how is this piracy? I'm not claiming copyright, I'm not distributing the game itself. You can't run the files without the official game. They're just freakin' custom maps. Frick's sake, Nintendo. They even claimed a replay file. HOW IS IT PIRACY?! Goddammit, Nintendo. This is why I will never judge anyone who arrquires Nintendo games. SEGA will always be the superior company. Nintendo will file a DMCA against you for merely saying the name "Mario". Make a Sonic fangame, and SEGA will feature it on their Twitter. SEGA rocks! F you, Nintendo! (Psst! Twilight Princess and Cheer Squads!

The game I am playing at this actual in fact moment is called The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It's not that good.

When it first came out the reviews were saying it's the best game EVER! and Wow! It's amazing! But I have to say I am not enjoying it as much as I thought I would. The mostly reason I am playing it is because of Link.
