My second story featuring Ferys and the gang. Here is some background info. Please read Shadows first for the backstory.
Ferys got bored, so the six of them left their base and are in the city of Bridgewater to look for some mercenary work. Only nothing has come up for days and their money is running out paying for their rooms. Where they are staying is actually the secret basement in a (supposedly) respectable hardware shop, but really Hairy John is a fence and this is just a front for his clandestine business. Ferys is obviously one of his clients.
Clarys gets a proper bedroom upstairs cos she’s a girl (and Hairy John likes her). No, not in that way!
Read the manga from right to left!
I’m not being pretentious. The only comics I read are manga, and I had been reading one at the time I made my first manga, so I automatically formatted it manga style without thinking, and I didn’t want to go back and fix everything, so for the sake of consistency, it’s all going manga style. If I do ever get round to fixing the art for this and Shadows, I’ll change it all to left to right.

Veterans
Ferys and Zephyr Naminari: A thief and a mage. You should know these two already from Shadows. They are officially brothers since Ferys’s dad adopted Zephyr within 2 minutes of meeting him, never mind he was 20. Ferys is 26 now and Zephyr 28.
Clarys Naminari: Paragon (custom cleric class). Their little sister. Same father as Ferys, different mother. She doesn’t get on well with Ferys, but is thick as thieves with Zephyr.
Edward Evenfire (Uncle Ed): Fighter. The King of Firgenholt’s youngest brother, rejected by his other siblings (more of that later, maybe), but very close to the king and his nephews. He was promoted to knight at 15. An explorer and all-round awesome fighter, his swordsmanship was famous back in his own land and he personally instructed his nephews in the skill.
Rookies
Eddie Evenfire: aka Handsum Prince. Fighter. Cocky trouble-maker who thinks girls are stupid, but loves rescuing them. Wants to be a paladin, but that’s never going to happen as he’s too much of a live-wire.
Raven Isenmith: Fighter. Eddie’s maternal cousin. Was raised by the King and Queen after his parents’ deaths (moar adopted brother, I’m so sorry). Trouble-maker when he is with Eddie, but really shy and unsure of himself when alone. Was apprenticed to the palace blacksmith, in his father’s family’s footsteps, but didn’t get to finish his apprenticeship.
Their prince-ness is secret from the other three and their kingdom is in a continent far far to the west.
