I think my boss was a little miffed that I made a sort-of replica of the vinyl shop nearby, but didn't make a replica of our shop. I told him it's only because I would need a fancy 3D printer to be able to do that. So I made him a mancave instead.

I knew I wanted to go for a 70s theme. I've always made contemporary styles, so this was really going out of my comfort zone, but I was relishing the challenge!

I knew I would base it on the Orla Kiely mudguard he had on his bike. I spent a long time in PSP7 recreating the pattern as a seamless tile.

While researching 70s stlye living rooms, I saw a few photos of the old gas heaters we have (or had in the past). I must have been in a really optimistic mood, because I actually felt motivated enough to try replicating one. Not only that, I think I did quite well! I'm really proud of that heater!

He's since dropped it and the furniture has come loose and the vinyls are lost, because I used stickyback plastic to make the flooring glossy, and glue doesn't like to stick to vinyl. Oh well. I've since realised that double sided tape works a little better for that.
