Echo Base, This is Rogue Two. I’ve Found Them. Repeat, I’ve Found Them.

Topps Vader and Luke trading cards

Eeeeeeeee! I found them in an organiser pocket, buried right at the bottom of my wardrobe! I'm so glad I found them! I didn't even remember having a Vader card, just the Luke one. And yep, that was the picture. I was wrong about it being portrait, though. Eeeeee! I was so happy when I saw it!

So the cards themselves are from a series of 10. Vader is 1, Luke is 4. Vader's card has Wookiee warriors on the back; Luke's, the Max Rebo band. The cards themselves have a copyright date of 1995, but the sticker on the plastic wrap says 1997, which is a couple of years earlier than I remember receiving them, but it was a long time ago. I'm not sure whether these were bought, or were free from a promotion, but there is a remnant of a barcode on the back. My mum was majorly into Star Wars back in the day, and she was always picking up reduced merch (I have a R3-T7 figurine still in its original packaging with an Argos clearance sticker on it, plus Yoda-, Threepio- and Vader-heads that used to have sweets in them), and I seem to remember receiving this from her.

I forgot to take photos of the back and my camera batteries are now charging, so no photos just yet.

Here you go.

But yes. My legendary Luke Skywalker Trading Card, the reason I wanted to watch Star Wars in the first place, and the cause of all this fangirlism, is finally back where it belongs. Eeeeeeeee!
