I Bought a Moriah Mystery Figure

moriah figurines in asda £4
They were only £4 in Asda.

I actually bought two. I originally bought one for my niece. She really wanted Lemon, so I spent ages in Asda Living feeling up the packages to see which one was Lemon.

thinking i found the lemon figurine
Uh oh.

Only when I got halfway through the queue (it's a rare day when you have to wait less than 10 minutes in that place), I gave it another feel and realised it was Flobby, which is one of the ones she said she absolutely DID NOT want (the other was Rosie). So I went back and started touching up the packages again until I found one that I was sure was Lemon.

The other day, I went B&M to get some more wax melts (I'm kind of addicted to them now, although I'm upgrading to Nikura's fragrance oils, because wax melts are actually a pain when you want to switch them up or remove spent ones). Anyway, they got the figures in! Last time I checked, they only had the big mystery Georgie. Anyway, they're £4.99 in B&M. I really don't get why that store is considered cheap, it's Poundland quality stuff at double the price. The advantage it really has is only how big of a range it has.

Yay!

So I was like, I want a Georgie! The first pack I picked up felt just like a Georgie. So at least I didn't have to stand there like a weirdo touching them up.

Before opening the Georgie pack, I weighed both packages.

weighing georgie
Georgie came in at 90g.

weighing lemon
The one I think is Lemon came in at 83g.

Now to see how good my touchy skills are, haha.

weighing georgie out the package
YAY! And he's 77g out the pack.

I can't tell you if I was right about the Lemon until April, because that's when my niece will get the present.

I did a quick check online before I bought the Lemon from Asda to see if anyone has catalogued the weights, but I couldn't see any. There's an alphanumeric string on the back of the packs. The two I have do have different numbers on the back, but from what I remember, the ones in Asda all had the same number, so I think it might just be a batch number, rather than linking to what's inside. Here they are anyway:

code on georgie
194 on Georgie.

code on lemon
165 on Lemon.

I honestly don't think these codes correspond to what's inside though. I'm documenting it just in case. There was a pinhole on the packaging, but it was in the exact same place on both of them: just to the left of the Derp on the back.

The figure itself is nice and solid. It feels like good quality. There is a little blemish on Georgie's face, but it's not too noticeable. It's not bad for £4 (well, £5 is what I paid for Georgie).

Okay, bye!
